Anyone own an iPod?

I am thinking of buying one this weekend but all I need is one for music and the least expensive. So I was looking at the iPod shuffle. It's good for 12 hours and holds 250 songs. Can you download off your windows media as well as iTunes?

I just need one to use while on the treadmill.

I have an ipod nano and I really REALLY love it! I feel naked without it on the treadmill...

Your itunes is the only thing that puts music on the ipods, but it's easy to move the files from WMP.

You can also put music on an iPod from MusicMatch jukebox...which is on a lot of computers -- and its really easy to move music there too

I have a mini and I love it. I use it at work to tune people out, and I listen to it in the car (I have a dock) when the radio isn't playing anything good or when we go on road trips.

I don't have one, but I really need one for when I run. (If I have something to do other than think about running, I can go a few miles more than otherwise)

shuffles are good, they are pretty hard wearing, you would honestly think it was jsut a lump of plastic.
it depends on how many songs you want to put on it, you would be surprised once you see how many songs you have how many you want to put on.

Aha, I personally have an iPod Video...

((Which I'm STILL paying my dad back for, haha))

It's amazing. Especially for music addicts like me. You can put your WHOLE music collection on it since it can hold up to like, 8,000 songs. Aside from that I can put episodes of my favorite shows on there and everything.

But in your case, I seriously suggest a Nano. They may be a little more expensive, but my mom had a shuffle and it had...issues. My main issue with it is that you can't actually SEE what you're listening to since it doesn't have a screen.

Have fun making a decision...

You can get a nicer MP3 that isn't the Apple brand with just as much memory for less money! My mp3 is the "Ilo" brand. It has a little screen so I can pick what music genre or artist etc I want to listen to, and it's got 2 gigabytes of memory. It was less than 100 dollars at Wal Mart.
