I didn't realize that so many others had an interest in Zippo Pine Bar. I'm curious to know the 'deal'?
Also, I had heard something about Impressive lines, but since I"m new to the horse world...I haven't a clue. Can anyone tell me anything?

My Zips Silver Slipper is a bay. 15.1 - 15.2 hh. She can be a REAL MARE! She's 14 and I just got her (my very first horse) about 6 weeks ago!
Check her papers. There should be either a lab report showing her HYPP status or it should be noted on the left side of her papers. You want to see HYPP N/N. IF not, you need to get her tested. Do a google search on HYPP, it is an often inherited trait from Impressive lined horses that either is or can easily be potentially deadly for those horses that are N/H or H/H. It's something you should educate yourself about since you own an Impressive lined horse now.

If you horse is N/N, then you have nothing to worry about or change. If she is not, then feeding, care a maintenance becomes a necessary issue.

wow, thanks. Was there something wrong with Impressive solely or is this something different horses carry?
I believe she is N/N as I met her previous owners from a while ago and the woman mentioned something about having papers about that. Of course, I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it as I didn't realize that it could be deadly!
Thanks again for the info!

Impressive carried it and then passed it on when he reproduced . It never was traced to another horse. If she's N/N shes fine, she wont pass it on nor exhibit any symptoms.

I do. Smokeys Lucky Pine. He's actually Zippo EVERYWHERE haha. www.allbreedpedigree.com/smokeys+lucky+pine
He started doing some pleasure, but he didn't like it. So we rein, work cows, run speed events and such but he had so much cow sense we do that scene the most.
He actually was sold a few months ago, but I'm friends with his new owner pretty well.
