Another Wet Show but a Good One - Results

Well it rained once again but they didn't cancel anything thank goodness. So I went to an open show by myself with Stormy and Dreamer (Erik had to work and my mom is in Florida).

When I was leaving after the show this guy stopped me and was like somethings wrong with your trailer... I was like uh oh so he looked at the tires and on teh right side the front tire were rubbing the fender and he was like your axle dropped or something to that effect which made me go huh... . Turns out it did this all teh way there too... so I called my Grandpa (he and my great uncle created Merhow trailers and owned and opperated it until they sold it a while back so he knows trailers very well and ours is a merhow prototype) anyhow he said to just drive it back home and take it easy and if anything happens to call him. We made it home with no problems and hopefully we can fix it before my next show next weekend.

So anyways I decided just to do the gaming in the afternoon so I could sleep since I had a 12 hour work day on Saturday 10am to 10 pm and was dead tired. So I thought eh Stormy is out of shape and Dreamer has never done any gaming classes before so I didn't expect to do really well.

Anyhow we got there and the competition was stiff! There was like 27 people in my gaming classes and all of them were like serious gamers lol.

I was like oh great I have a 26 year old little gelding and a 5 year old greenbroke never contested or gone fast under saddle before big mare. Well I was like oh well and entered them in all the gaming classes which included Barrel racing, flag race, speed and action, pole bending, and keyhole. I had done a barrel pattern on Dreamer at home once... but not fast and just fooling around. Well surprise surprise she was very very good at barrels lol. Here are the results

Barrels:
Stormy - 4th place 20 seconds
Dreamer - didn't place 23 seconds

Flags:
Stormy - 4th place 10seconds
Dreamer - didn't place 12 seconds

Speed and Action:
Stormy - 6th place 10 seconds
Dreamer - didnt place 13 seconds

Poles:
Stormy - 5th place 26 seconds
Dreamer - didnt place 33 seconds (lol)

Keyhole:
Stormy - 2nd place 9 seconds
Dreamer - 6th place 12 seconds

I was so proud of Dreamer and Stormy. I mean Stormy is definatley out of shape I haven't ran barrels at home on him at all this year and hes been ridden maybe once a week. Dreamer has never even cantered fast under saddle let alone turn around a barrel at full speed or let me pick up a flag or do poles or anything but she took to it so well. I mean she was only 3 seconds behind Stormy who is a seasoned barrel horse in Barrel racing... and was only a few seconds behind him in everything except poles lol she wasn't to sure about those poles. All in all looks like she could become a really good gaming horse. Sorry no pics since I was alone and didn't know anyone at the show lol I will definatey get pics next show and next time we do gaming

I was going to but I worked 12 hours on Saturday and didn't want to get up really early that and I had no one to go with me because Erik was working. I decided to go to the show where I knew I would have fun.
