I'm getting the papers to change the owner on Chico's AQHA papers to me... can I change his registered name? Or i'm I stuck with Keyhole Sassy Doc? and if I can change it, what should it be? I want to keep the keyhole in it... Sire:Bostons Tea Party Dam:Docs No Sass

A horse’s name may be changed upon receipt of an acceptable name choice, the registration certificate and remittance of appropriate fee as per rule 222, so long as it has not: (a) competed in an AQHA show or special event; (b) started in a recognized race; (c) earned a special achievement recognition award as per rule 440; (d) earned any money or award with an AQHA affiliate as shown on AQHA records; (e) appeared on any breeding document submitted to AQHA. he hasn't done any kind of showing yet... unless i'm reading it wrong I think I can, I just have to pay the fee. right?

your right so long as he has not shown or has any get then u can change his name. how bout keyholes boston sassafrass.....lol couldnt help it hehe
