Another one of my dumb questions....

I have been reading a lot of the post on feeding. Why do you feed your horses beet pulp?

For horses that need to gain weight and for people that are running short on hay.

For extra fibre. To put supplements in as my horse doesn't get grain. To get extra water into her...I soak the beet pulp.

One of my friends' horses foundered, so they have it on beet pulp so the horse isn't out on pasture as much, til the founder is resolved.

When I could not get hay, I used BP as an additional source of fiber and calories that's all.

BP plus alfalfa cubes can replace hay.
