Ok, I'm here to play devil's advocate to some of these styles

Uggs-ever been in freezing cold weather? They keep your feet lovely and toasty. As far as them being overpriced, if you buy ANY real leather boots with wool lining, they will be that expensive and, fact is, knock-offs won't keep your feet warm. But yes, they are hideous. I for one would rather have warm feet

Crocs-fine on kids under six, fine for the garden, and fine for those who need to be on their feet all day. Let's face it-these shoes are ultra comfortable. I know many nurses who wear them because they are the only shoes that they can run around in all day, let their feet breathe, and are easy to clean.

Skinny Jeans-Great for boots. It's very difficult to tuck your flared jeans into boots and, fact is, it's warmest if your pants are tucked in to your boots.

And yes, I live in Minnesota

I agree with you all that these are not things to be taken as fashion trends but, lets face it, they are very comfortable and practical trends

I just bought a pair of UGGS. I'm loving them. These are probably not the ones everyone is thinking of when they say they hate UGGS.

I hate the retro 80s looks that seem to be everywhere at the moment. Weren't the 80s awful enough the first time? My daughter informed me that leg warmers are in again. LOL, huh? I remember wearing them in grade school. Last time we were at the mall I saw a booth selling slap bracelets!

I actually like leggings! I can't see myself wearing them with some of the outfits that girls in this town do... shorts, short skirts, or with tunic tops... but I like them under some dresses, mostly because I think short-short dresses are trashy and leggings can "save" those.

I have several that have been covered, but mine are more specific

Uggs--if its cold here, its raining. Suede soaks up water like a sponge, so lose the slipper boots

Skinny jeans, under the butt, on teenage boys. I don't need to see what your smuggling in there, I really, really don't.

Crocs for anything but young children, doctors or the garden.

The empire waist shirts that are HUGE and unflattering. Friend of mine calls them Training MooMoos

Anything remotely 'sexy' on anyone under the age of 16. My mom would have boxed my ear, yours should too!

I don't know if it is just here in Aus, but the fashion for people my age tends to be looking like you just rolled out of bed and not showered or dressed. Trackie bottoms, a shirt, uggs or thongs (flip-flops for you Americans), messy ponytails, and for guys, stubble. Which looks attractive on certain guys but most it just makes 'em look lazy and messy. When I was still at school, pretty much everyone looked like they'd come in their pyjamas. And that was "cool" o_O

Anyway besides looking like you've made no effort whatsoever, nothing really "bugs" me. Different tastes, y'know? Oh but I do dislike items that are evidently just for fashion and have lost all practicality. Like sunglasses that don't actually block UV rays, they just make you look like an owl. Or things that just look really stupid I saw a girl wearing parachute pants the other day. I can't fathom how anyone could think that looks good but um... good for her? x]

im a skinny legs and legging person.

But i agree it does not work with some people..
and especially boys if it is TOO TOO tight
its disgraceful when they have it below their butt with boxers hanging out!
But some boys will pull it off with the skinny jeans look

and i don't like rabens or bape jumpers!

a lot of derelicts wear them over here who smoke, teenage mothers, school drop outs, grumps

arh..
the new trend.. boys who are about 14-16 wearing propeller hats!?
they wear it around the shopping centers and think they're cool

boys with rat tails..

I'm in college, and that's what the style is here. 90% of girls (myself included, I admit) wear tshirts or sweatshirts and cotton gym shorts or sweatpants to class. Maybe jeans. People that have really put together outfits actually are the oddballs.

It takes me 15 minutes from when I wake up to when I leave, and about 10 of those minutes are spent eating cereal and checking my email, lol.
