It takes me 15 minutes from when I wake up to when I leave, and about 10 of those minutes are spent eating cereal and checking my email, lol.
THAT is a fashion trend I don't like. LOL.

I definitely put together outfits and shower/put on make-up before class, and I try to look nice. I do feel like an oddball half the time, but that annoys me! Heck, I wouldn't ever be seen going to class in sweatpants. I don't think it's attactive to look like you just rolled out of bed.

This thread is really making me self-conscious! LOL. I don't own a pair of jeans that aren't skinny (I think flairs make my legs look fat), I have a ton of boots, I wear leggings ALL the time with a dress or long shirt (it'll always cover my butt). My usual fall/winter outfit is some skinny jeans/leggings, a shirt/dress, some boots, a pea coat, and a scarf. I usually feel NICE when I leave my dorm to go to class, but now I'm gonna feel like everyone is looking at me in disapproval. Haha.

As for the multiple tank tops, I frequently will wear two because I feel like it makes for a cleaner line...as in doesn't show any lumps or bumps and makes sure they aren't too see-through. I see a lot of people only wearing one and I think they should have put on another one underneath to get rid of lines you see from a bra, tight pants, etc.

Uggs-ever been in freezing cold weather? They keep your feet lovely and toasty. As far as them being overpriced, if you buy ANY real leather boots with wool lining, they will be that expensive and, fact is, knock-offs won't keep your feet warm. But yes, they are hideous. I for one would rather have warm feet

Crocs-fine on kids under six, fine for the garden, and fine for those who need to be on their feet all day. Let's face it-these shoes are ultra comfortable. I know many nurses who wear them because they are the only shoes that they can run around in all day, let their feet breathe, and are easy to clean.

Skinny Jeans-Great for boots. It's very difficult to tuck your flared jeans into boots and, fact is, it's warmest if your pants are tucked in to your boots.

And yes, I live in Minnesota

I agree with you all that these are not things to be taken as fashion trends but, lets face it, they are very comfortable and practical trends
I agree with you about the Crocs...while they are disgusting, they do have a purpose at some times. Fashion is never their purpose though!

However...Uggs being worn to keep feet warm is NOT the trend here, I live in Phoenix. People actually think they look good, but they don't! I loooove boots with skirts, but Ugg boots are not included in that.

The bottom line with skinny jeans is that they make you look bigger. So, for those of you who are lacking in the curve department or trying to gain some weight, they may be fine for you. If you like your size or would prefer to look a bit smaller, skinny jeans are NOT for you. They are not flattering in that regard.

I HATE HATE HATE "preggo shirts." The common misconception is that they "hide" something if you have a belly or are bigger, but in reality they just make you look bigger. It would be like covering an airplane with a blimp...the airplane is already big, putting a blimp over it just increases it's size!

The most flattering is a fitted but not tight shirt. The right style and fit in a shirt will make you look smaller, the solution is NOT to just wear something big and billowy.

Lol I love the preggo shirts. It's nice that I'm 5 months pregnant and when I wear those shirts, nobody knows! Lol. I really do like them as pre and post maternity clothes. I don't think I would have worn them before I had kids though.

I think it's a little different if you're actually pregnant! That's what they're made for!

Lol i can't stand it when guys wear jeans that are so big that i can see the whole of their bum, its not attractive and i just find it really unappealing, but thats just my opinion.

Guys wearing skinny jeans in general im not a fan of, but some can pull it off. The ones that wear bright orange/red/yellow just look hideous. I saw a guy wearing Red Skinny's, Yellow Shirt and Black Shoes and i was just like Ronald Mcdonald much? Lmao

I'm not that bothered really about people and what they wear, but if you are carrying a bit of extra weight (which i am lol), wearing super tight clothes isn't going to change it and you just end up looking worse honestly. I think if you just buy clothes that fit you and you aren't being trashy you should be generally ok lol.
But the above ones i really don't like seeing when im walking around in public.

Oh yes they do, and even bigger sizes then that.

I would know. I happen to be a large gal' myself, size 26/28. And I must say that my skinny jeans are my most favorite pair of jeans I own.

In my opinion, a lot of us bigger ladies can pretty much rock those skinny jeans. But hey, that's just me. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Anyways, most my pet peeves have already mentioned. I just want to cringe at those Ugg boots, sorry. lol
