I love that you have a new baby. Candygirl, of course, wants to know about the dam, I for one would like to know which Arabi was the sire? What is his breeding? What will Starstruck's career plans be? Congratulations!

No he was very unplanned, Star jumped into the field with an arab stallion down the road (she always jumps out) and she is one of these annoying mares that comes into season every two minutes regardless of time of year. Star isnt registered but her father was (couldnt tell you his name though, my mum might know) she didnt qualify because her dam was unregistered. We arent 100% sure who the foals dad is because when we found her she was running up and down OUTSIDE the colt pens (the stud has three 3yr old entire colts, think they are trying to sell two of them) she could have been in the field with any of the three of them - we didnt even find out she was in foal til much later because we didnt even realise she had been in the field with any of the colts, we assumed the fences were too high for her to jump and thats why she was outside the fields. The colts were all descended from Count Rapello (a few generations back). Im told its a reasonably good bloodline. Lou |

We do however have two foals actually planned for the spring, my sister's riding pony is due to give birth in May, she has been bred to a Dorlyn stallion (cant remember which one - Candygirl probably knows the name Dorlyn though) and my Brother has bred his Irish mare to a local Anglo arab stallion called Topper (again i'm not kept in the loop enough to know his reg. name - thats what happens when you leave home). My English Pointer Tammy is going to have pups soon as well - shes going to the stud dog next time she has a season. Lou |

What Section stallion did you put the Mare too? I have checked my journal, and can find a Brood Mare, Dorlyn Black Magic, in Northumberland. I think I remember you saying you was from Scotland, am I right Lou. Do you have the service certificate, if you have,it will tell you the stallion on their. It would be good for you to have this anyway, because you will be able to register the pony as a part bred Welsh. Will put the price up, if you ever sell.

Its my older sister's pony so i dont have much to do with it now i'm at uni. Holly will have the service certificate somewhere. The Dorlyn ponies are in Northumberland and are bred by a friend of a friend. I would imagine it was one of the riding pony stallions not one of the welsh stallions that Cassie was bred to as she is registered herself as a british riding pony She's by Romany Jonjo - another Northumberland Stallion. Could have been one of the secton Bs though i guess. Lou |
