Thanks horse mom.... They are English arabs, saddle seat so they are not really being ridden like saddle breds they are being ridden like saddle seat arabs, they were bred to move like that

Ok I am sad to see this thread brought back up.......... Gosh how excited and niave I was back then LOL

I never updated but we tried 4 different heat cycles this summer to get my mare preggo....... Spent over $6000 and NO BABY! Next year. Just confirmed she is not preggo yet again a week ago......

So no baby next year, I am out a sick amount of money and I just DONT EVER want to talk about it again................

I dont know how I am ever going to re-breed her again next year, the mental stress was just to much

I have heard of bad luck with AI but seriously mine is over the top..........

SO NO BABY

And no show season left for my mare, she has a freak accident a week ago and is lame on both front legs and has MAJOR cuts. this mare is just BAD BAD luck, and more vets bills....... I am at the end of my rope with horses at the moment

And I cant handle talking about it anymore..............

Oh my gosh Melinda I'm so sorry. FOUR unsuccessful attempts? Did they test and confirm the semen was "good" and motile each time?

I was under so much stress with ONE unsuccessful AI attempt; I can't imagine FOUR. You poor girl!

Gosh ya it was a stressfull summer....

The semen only acctually made it here twice, the third time fed-ex let it sit in Arizona and my mare was waiting at the AI clinic wasting my money away while she ovualtes...... Fed-ex really upset me they cost me about $1500 for that round of AI!!!!

One time my vet missed her cycle complelty so no semen was ordered.....

Semen was always excellent..... We did everything in our power to get her preggo, she was at an AI clinic for 2 heat cycles, monitored everyday and just the timing didnt happen right... She was at the best AI place around here, great vets and it just didnt happen. It wasnt her either the vets said she is all good in that area... so who knows

Arrg!!!!!!!

Now the stallion farm wants to charge me $600 US for a re-breeding fee for next year!!!!!!!!!!! Like what the heck? I tried so so so hard you think they would give me a break and help me out, they made a HUGE load of money off me this year....

Its starting to fully sink in NO baby next year

They do charge collection fees, everytime they sent semen I paid big money for collection then the shipping charges on top on that.......

So next year I pay all the collections fees everytime a shipment is sent and I have to pay $600 on top of all that

What are those fees for??? Hmmm well I guess to rip small first time breeders like me off?????????? LOL ok not funny

I am going to call them tommorow and see what I can do to get them to drop that fee..... I have been talking with alot of BIG arab breeders and they all think the fee is a money grab and should be waved for sure.

In some cases where people buy a the breeding and just dont use it etc..... thats different but I tried my but off for this baby.
