Smile All the Different Kinds of Braids

What are all of the different kinds of braids you can do on horse's manes and tails? I'm just curious. I already know how to do running braids, and regular "for fun" training braids, but are there any others? How do you do them? Thanks in advance!

~Amy

EDIT: When I said braids I meant anything that you do to the mane or tail, it doesn't have to be an actual "braid".

Well there is the diamond braid

You can just do a couple rows or go down to the tips of the mane

Well, the most common in dressage and stadium jumping is the bun braids.
Braid straight down, then use needle and yarn to roll and wrap it up in a bun.

^That's the more 'poofy' style, most common in Europe.

^This is the more common look. The tight, small, close buns.

Hmmm... I don't have any pics but there's hunter braids, where they look (to my eye) like, straight, sideways bows.

And rosette braids, where you take the end of the plait and thread it through the base of the plait, then wrap it around the outside and stitch.

What are the 'for fun' training braids you speak of?
