All-purpose English Saddle

What brand in your opinion makes a nice all-purpose saddle that could be used for local shows thats pretty cheap. like 150 or less, and that could be like gently used that i could get off ebay or somthing like that. becuase i am thinking about getting a new saddle but i dont have much to spend . So i was just looking around and i guess i didnt know where or what to look for!
THanks!

I would save up a little more. You can't find much with $150, and stay far away from starter packages, saddles made in India, or saddles with fiberglass tree - all won't last you long, and will be extremely uncomfortable (for you and your horse).

How do you feel about synthetic saddles? Are they aloud at the shows you plan on going to?

There's a used 16.5' Crosby Mark VI AP saddle being offered by Rick's Heritage Saddlery for $200. No photo in the ad, but described as "good condition". If so, this is an excellent price. Here's the link:

Crosby makes great saddles. For a review of this model, go here:

Also, in my opinion, the older Collegiate saddles made in Argentina by Ruiz Diaz (late 80's thru mid-90's?) are very good saddles and can sometimes be bought for a very good price. I have one that I love. The newer ones aren't of the same quality.
