Exclamation ALL English Wintec users please read!

First I want to say, I am in NO way condeming this saddle, I LOVE them! There is a quality issue that ALL users NEED to know about! Maybe if enough people do find this weakness the company will address it.

The "flex points" are known to break, and I would bet 99% of riders don't even know it. The company will replace them, but you are without your saddle. I have had my hands on 6 Wintecs and just the other day ran into the 3rd one with one or both flex points broken! You NEED to know HOW to check these! There is a little pocket at the bottom of where the gullet plate slides into. If you lift the flaps you can wiggle those "pockets" back and forth. There should be very very minimal "give" at best, if they move easily then you need to remove the gullet plate and check these points. This SHOULD be done regularly! I LOVE the Wintecs, even got me another coming this week. Just need to be aware that they still haven't "fixed" this issue, probably because nobody knows about it!

Here is some great stuff, some pics are a bit dark though: Saddle Construction

You are looking at/for the "point pockets".

Mine have never had a problem. Always make sure the saddle fits properly.
