In Austrailia....that bit is called a Tom Thumb...similar to our fulmer snaffle (sort of like a full cheek snaffle)

attached? does that mean you actually like us? or is that a misspell? I read it a 3rd time and finally saw it, thought it was a different word.

Whether people agree or not....I have enjoyed the spirited debate.

I plan on putting my husband in a head lock later on this evening (off to one side ofcourse) to see if I can properly apply a full tap and get control of that darn remote. Will report back with my findings! (just kiddin')

HAHAHAHAHAAHAH
Let's face it,
If it worked on men.
We'd be lining up to give the guy fifty bucks!

Ride her.....ok

Turn her over to you...ok, when I think you are ready

I or any other man or woman can ride her and continue riding her without worry of her exploding...If her exercise match her feed yes (too much grain and not enough work, will make any horse explode,)

have her running like you do those TB's in such a short time ?? ..why, you own her, those horses are showing what they can do in front of potential buyers, but if you want to see what she has under the hood ? ok, get a stopwatch ready..
UMMM...ok I see you for what you are now....the endorphine tap as you call it does work...to an extent.

First off.....you dont know my mare...when I say she doesnt like men...I mean it...she trusted my fiancee just fine...but he tried to ride her and wound up in the hospital before the day was through...he got on..she exploded, as soon as he was off, I stepped up on the mare and she walked out with me on her when the fiancee tried to lead her forward (same thing I was going to do but with him on her instead), he got on again and she went insane, he went to the hopital. She has had me on her back once since then and that was it..I got hurt shortly after in a riding accident and couldnt ride...a woman can work with the mare just fine, but a man is a different story...and I KNOW for a fact she has NEVER been mistreated by a man cause I raised her....I can take you to the exact spot on this farm where she was born.

As for turning her over to me when u think I am ready?? HA!! Pal, I am ready whenever you say she is broke....people used to bring me their "problem" horses and unbroke horses for me to train........I dont do that now cause of damage to my hip from a near fatal car wreck....riding "rough" stock for people isnt worth me never being able to ride or walk again, thank you. I think I am quite ready/capable.

Grain....she doesnt get it..she doesnt need it...does quite well on pasture and hay and mineral/salt blocks. NO danger of her being too "hot".

ready to go in a short time like you do with the TB's....yup...I want to see her fully able to go out and walk, trot, and canter or even run for me and her be under my control...just like the Tb's and the jockeys...in that short a time...(wasnt it a month or so I think you said?).

I am not attacking you or being rude in any way here. I just seriously doubt that your "method" will work for this mare. Like I said, I know the endorphin thing works to an extent. It is the co.ckiness of your reply post to my first one that leaves me shaking my head. I know my horse and her attitude. She isnt called Devils Spitfire for nothing. She is truly the old cowboy's version of a "rouge" or rough stock. Instead of wanting to break her so I can ride her...I should be renting her out to a reputable bucking stock contractor....

hey lucky, I am trying to do it in a halter, in a rope halter, the rope loop goes to far to the neck so you dont have enough control over the nose, in a regular hatler, if you attach it to the sides, it works, but im not storng enough to hold her head there, cause my arms get tired, and she takes a while to go down.

And any bit will work that doesnt go Through the mouth. And bit that will stay in the mouth, not slid through it, it is fine!
