| Senior Member+ | i never did say this was the cause of her death but it was just something that struck odd. you may have used it on the same horse more then 4 times. that still does not mean it was not the cause or it did not harm this horse it is very possible it did and it is possible it didnt when i find out from the vet i will let you all know simple as that. but i do think it was a little odd and even tho the horse you used it on is fine it does not mean it did not harm this horse!

| Senior Member | Endorphins, I don't want to be rude or anything- mind me if you find this offensive.. but I think you need to understand that many people feel against your method. It's constructive critisism and doing something new and scarely used will bring lots of that critisism. Obviously, not EVERYONE thinks your wrong. And not everyone thinks your right. With soemthing to consider, Jig

| Senior Member | It's amazing how some people still are arguing this as though it were an actual training method...I think he's made it fairly clear by now that it is just intended as a assist to training, not the whole base of it. And I read through all his posts and I didn't see anything resembling "Why TRAIN your horse when you can TAP him!?" He's not saying that tapping a horse will turn him into an Olympic champ. He's saying it will calm them down and make them sleepy. While I'm still personally on the fence about whether this could cause future health problems, I don't see how this pacification method could be seen as so horribly wrong if it is indeed harmless. Come on guys, if you're going to take the time to post at least take the time to read it all so your response is informed, accurate, and at the bare minimum, a worthwhile contribution!! Happy trails |

| Senior Member+ | I don't think he's saying it's a training meathod, he's saying it's for calming horses, an aid in training

It's done... This is taking up space on HGS that no one really wants to read... I think one thread is enough for now... ~Mary

| Senior Member+ | Thank you Mary, Captain Pink Panther, on the starship Enorphinize ..signing off To all the good people out ther thank you for your support..please use my site address to contact me if you need more info on this method.. So many people following it because it was a topic that has not be covered thoroughly enough and if someone want to pick up the baton and take this further please do it because someone has to find the answer why, Simply turning a horse's head around will drain the horse's energy enough in a matter of seconds, and make them lie down to rest... I thought knowing we could do this could help us out in some situations, so I turn it into a technique that anybody can use, Sorry, for wanting to get better educated about our equine friends... Bye.. Last edited by Endorphins4u2; 12-20-2005 at 02:42 AM. |
