Thats how rumors get started....
I don't see where Born to Ride said it DID die from this, just the mere mention is now going to have all running for the exits.
Did someone yell fire?
I highly doubt this is the case. But I am sure the OP will asure you of the same, will wait for his response on that.

I havn't gotten into this conversation because I don't jump the gun until proof is put before me.

The same sort of proof is require before I would state as fact that ANY horse died as a direct result of this proceedure. Rumors fly too fast and thick in the horse world and we should not be a party to the spread of any "information" without proof.

My own breeding operation was squashed due to this sort of thing so maybe we should wait until a vet as made a professional opinion.

hmmm I'll try and hold my tounge a lil better this time...

I still dont agree. Yes TB's are trained young but are they really "trained?"... No. They know basics. Let a rider stay on run like He!! turn when he signals and stop when he says whoa! But thats not really "training"

If I went into a ring on my horse and I compeated against a TB who was trained with the tap or w/e. He wouldnt even come CLOSE to placing near us. Because I've spent TIME with him. BONDING, WORKING, this tap is "cheating" your drugging the horse then burning this stuff into their poor minds. They probably dont know whats even going on. Which in my book isnt good. I want a horse who knows ME! Not this calm down quick drug training. I dont like it and I dont think its a "real" training method. I went out to a dude ranch for a while and these horses who were bred born raised and trained on this farm were the most willing quietest and calmest horses I have EVER met. Because their handlers took TIME to train them for themselves. You need to mold the horse for you not smash it.

Horses are like clay. Mold them right they turn out to be works of art. Mold them and become impatient they turn into a gloppy mess that looks like a snowman melting.

Good morning all,

she tried it about 4 times!!

I have done the 14 to same horse is one day and then when he went to the racecorse, he got me back because I put $400 (money that I didn't have) on the win, and he second by a nose...

Also, this is not about strength, small people can do this, just takes a little practice ...

Stockman, please follow those people up for me...

I am going to try it for myself, and see if it really works, and if it does, then i know it does.

I like how people state their oppinions, but, again, no need to shove it down peoples throats, if we want to try it, we will, no matter what anyone says. so, that's my $0.02

Oh, and Peg_D, i'm confused now, um, so is it not true about the horse dying? or is it? i was just saying that if it is, that *could* be the reason, not that it is the reason. I am no equine expert, so, i just guessed. I did not mean to start rumors and for that i appologise
