Adoption

Our sleepovers haven't been working out to great and Tango's really getting down about having no buddy. He's not as friendly as before and just stands looking longingly at the horses down the road. The past 4 days he doesn't even want to come in at night.
I want to adopt a Standardbred from Greener Pastures. Any opinions on this?

I think that's a great idea.. have you ever worked with a STB? In my experiences they have been really great to work with, very friendly and athletic. I'm sure Tango would like to have a buddy around to keep him occupied.

I'd say go for it, sounds like the perfect idea.

Aww, have you been sleeping in the barn with him? THat's so cute

I would adopt a Standardbred. That'd be really awesome Something to work with, plus a companion.

I think that would be great for him. Im not sure if you want this just as a pasture buddy or a riding horse too.. If you just want a pasture buddy , maybe get something that can no longer be ridden . A lot of people dont want those kinds of horses. But if youre planning on riding it , i think thats a wonderful idea

Well right now the thing is to get my parents to agree.. it took them forever to agree to another horse (which was TANGO!).
They actually want to move to a lot where there's no room for a horse (news flash.. I didn't know). Which would mean I'd also have to sell Tango...
This stinks

We won't be moving this year.. I'm almost positive, but I wouldn't want to buy another horse and have to sell it within a year..
I'll figure something out

If you do have to move (knock on wood) could you possibly board him? There will be other horses there.
