! Usually these programs will put some free training into their horses. I really recommend the last guy, Joe at TB friends. I have heard nothing but absolutely amazing praise about him, he is supposed to be a God send. He may not have all available horses on the pages, give him a call, he's always looking to place a quality, sound horse. Good luck!
I got my horse from Canter.. so I validate & would totally recommend them :] He was $1.

Amen! I hate breed trashing. They are wonderful animals. If you have the patience and time which it seems you do, you will get a willing partner that only has the sky as a limit. I know getting my boy and letting him have a let down from the track prior to doing more than very short hacks for months was the best thing I've ever done. He is such a reliable trail/cattle working mount.

and there are different personalities within every breed. I know some quarter horses who are nervous wrecks, and arabs that are cool ole cucumbers. My OTTB hated his designed life and when I offered him something more relaxing we clicked and never looked back. If you go to the track and get the word out, what you are looking for, the right one will show up. My choice was blind luck and Gods will but as soon as he grabbed the zipper on my coat and starting zipping and unzipping me, I was hooked.

Once my OTTB figured out he was able to relax it was over he is a plug now you would never guess that he was even on the track. In general I thinks the OTTB's are exstremely quiet once they are trained properly to settle in since they have already seen so much

Boy, that is so true. They have had everything imaginable done to them, that can be done to a horse and have been exposed to so many different things that it takes alot to phase them. I think the first real thing my boy was frightened of was an elk. Even then, he just got about a hand taller and his veins popped out all over, but he stood like a rock until he was satisfied it was not going to kill him.
