Adopted Standardbred! *Pics*

A girl has adopted a standardbred and she is keeping him with us! It was actually pretty sad, the previous lady who had adopted him was diagnosed with cancer and couldn't care for him anymore. She was very upset as he was loaded onto the trailer and was crying...Very sad We told her she can come and see him whenever she wants to He is sooooo cute and furry! We haven't measured him but my guess is mabey 13 or 14 hh! He's like a little pony! The pictures of him beside my boss show how small he is - my boss is 5' tall! His new owner is thrilled to have him He settled in very quickly. Now to the photos! By the way, his name is Dylan but we already have a Dylan in the barn! I've started calling him 'Bud'

Aww, what a cutie. I love Standardbred's. I really hope the old owner comes to visit him, I'm sure he would love it, as would the owner. It's sad when unseen things come up and force you to change so many things.

Thanks guys I hope the old owner comes out to see him too, I felt horrible taking him away I think she knew it was best for him but its always hard to let go of something you love. I think he likes it here quite a bit already! His new best friend is the trakhener Brandenburg

That's so sad about his old owner. It must have been such a heartbreaking situation.

He sure is a cutie.
