Yes, I got a folder full of all his past medical history including shots, coggins, wormings, blood work, gelding date, etc...The screening process was very thorough. We had to sit down with a BLM employee & she was VERY strict. The trailer we used had to have a removeable divider & the doors had to go all the way up the back. No loading ramps & single horse trailers were allowed. There were several people turned away because they didn't have the right trailer. Thank God one of our neighbors has a trailer that fit their specifications. Yes, his freezemark matches up. I can't wait to get some pics on here for all of you! Dawn, I'm going to need some advice since you have done this. Will you help?

Tim, He definitely stands out, but there were quite a few large ones there. Okay, I have his papers right here. Let's see; He was captured from Devil's Garden Wild Horse Territory in Alturas California in Modoc County. Okay, this may explain his size, it says "Many of the wild horses in this area exhibit Draft Horse characteristics & are thought to have decended from draft horse stock used on area farms & ranches." He came from a herd of 325 wild horses. So that's why my standard horse halter wouldn't fit his head & why his feet are so large & he's so thick in the front & neck. Hmmmm.....

How exciting! I am so happy for you. I must say, that thing about the draft characteristics is pretty cool.
Can't wait for pictures...

oh and as for the brand you might want to log onto the blm website and type it in as an e-mail they might be able to tell you. i know that part of it has to do iwth were he was caught, his age, and gender i think.

to get to adopt these horses from the blm you also have to certain type of fencing, i beleive it has to be six feet, and hey dont take your word for it they want to see it and have pictures, and you have to have it all pre approved before bidding on them. your numbers dont seem to match either you said he is from cali but the numbers indicate utah. and lastly the horse isnt yours till one year from adoption, they will keep upto date with him and check on him, after the 1st year they give you title but not before then because they figure if you have put a year into them then you arent just in it to sell to slaughter, untill they give you the title it is the property of the U.S Goverment.there is also no gender in the freeze brand, I have 2 blm mustangs.
