It was a blm adoption? That sounds a little fishy. I'm assuming you got his blm papers as well. Did the freezebrand match up with the number?

There was an Adoption in Jackson Mississippi today...here is the information:

Special One-Day Adoption in Jackson, MS - Jan 15
A special one-day adoption will be held in Jackson, Mississippi at the Piney Woods Facility on Saturday, January 15. Older stallions from Utah, and 4-5 year old geldings from various western states will be available.

The animals will arrive on Friday, January 14, and will be available for viewing between 1:00 and 5:00 pm. The studs range in age from 6 yrs to 20 years, and come in a variety of colors, including pinto, buckskin, roan, and gray. The geldings are between 4 and 5 years old, and are mostly bay, brown, sorrel, and black.

The Piney Woods facility is approximately 20 miles southeast of Jackson, MS, along Highway 49. For more information, contact the Jackson, MS office at (888) 274-2133. Applications can be downloaded form the Eastern States web site at: http://www.es.blm.gov/whb/index.asp

I have honestly never heard of the blm doing adoptions like that. Not to mention without having been preapproved.

Congratulations , I have a mustang whom we've had since birth ( we had her mother too.) They are awsome horses, they seem almost MORE willing than you average horse. I'm very excited for you. And yes pictures, pictures, pictures.

Wow! That sounds like a good horse. He also sounds big for a mustang. Do you think it is possible he could have some modern blood in him?
Not that a pure mustang is not what you wanted, just his nature and size seem a little more than what you normally hear about a mustang.
