I emailed my letter, then copied and faxed it to the other two contacts.

It is time to do more than sit and type about how horrible this is. It is time to react. The farther away they get reactions from the better. If they know an entire world is watching how they treat this, they may give those two poor horses the justice they deserve.

C'mon now, I did the hard part, all you have to do is modify it to make it personal, copy and paste.

The following is a copy of an email I just sent to District Attorney Francis Phillips. I hope you read it, digest it, and come to the conclusion that more needs to be done for these horses, and Keum H. Lee, needs to face more than a single misdemeanor charge for animal neglect and cruelty.


I have just finished reading the profile provided by Pet Alive website concerning the outrageous neglect of the two horse owned by Keum H. Lee.

If I can believe what has been written, this woman is refusing to pay for the medical attention these animals so obviously and desperately needed, feels she is entitled to have the horses returned to her (when they are well, of course) and will only be facing a misdemeanor charge on Suzi, the horse whose halter was imbedded in her head, of animal neglect.

To say that this is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard of would be a monumental understatement. You cannot be seriously considering giving these animals back to her?

As a person who takes in and rehabs horses, I can assure you, she will not change her ways. A person, who could think that the condition of her horses does not merit them being taken, permanently, from her, is a person who has NO idea how to care for that animal.

Please, I implore you NOT to give her another chance at killing these beautiful (or at least should be beautiful) creatures. Let them rehab until healthy and then be given to loving, caring, capable homes so they will not have to undergo these atrocities ever again.

Once you have done that, slap her with every charge you can think of. At the very least she should be facing TWO counts of animal neglect and not one. She should be forced to pay the medical bills as well as a substantial fine, be given jail time and never be allowed to keep livestock again.

Anything less is an a total misuse of the justice system and sends out the word, "It is OK to horrifically neglect and abuse animals in our county".

(Yes Yakima Washingon. The word has spread across the nation and the court hearing coming up, will be watched. You may want to keep in mind what kind of message you are sending about your county, to an entire nation. To slap her on the hand and give her horses back will cause a backlash of mail, email, faxes and any other manner or way of communication, the likes of which I am sure, you would rather not have to deal with).

I've just read the link to the information on these 2 horses, and I am completely horrified that someone could cause such pain to another living thing.

For being a physicist, the woman isn't that [Edited by Mods] intelligent to think that treating an animal that way is acceptable. Maybe she should have taken livestock management instead, the [Edited by Mods].

I only pray that she doesn't have children She is an incredibly selfish, heartless, cruel, sick individual who does not deserve to breathe the same air as good, decent, law-abiding citizens
