Animal Control? Is there one in AZ? I have seen some very bad abuse happen here, but I don't know what to do. allot still happens, but not like it did.

I don't know. We have the ASPCA over here for small animals. Not sure what you'd do about large ones though. There should be animal control or something like that. *watches too much animal planet*

First you call animal control....get the name, date and time of EVERY individual you speak to in the animal control division. Then, you call every television news station....every radio station....and, ever local newspaper you can find. If that doesn't help, you call the HSUS! If anyone can get something done, I can promise you.....THEY WILL!!!!!!!!!!

If by some unknown reason, all of the above fail.....you steal the animals! J/K

Seriously, if you can't get any local authorities to take action, HSUS will take action, and very swiftly!!

I think the only reason they are even half way serious on dealing with this woman is that the press DID get involved.... so I plan on keeping track of the trial date, and will be sending the pics of those horses to every newspaper and radio station in the area..... if the media attention fades away, the prosecutor can drop the felony charges, or the review board can decide it is not a justified cost, and drop it back to misdemeanor. The only thing that is protecting those horses from going back to the suffering is the scrutiny and outrage that the prosecutors face right now..... we can't let them sweep this under the rug like so many other cases.... they get it out of the spotlight, let it sit until everyone forgets, and then sweep it under the rug..... which is probably the plan for her defense lawyer.

Our law enforcement needs to know that we are watching them.... and if they fail to do their job, we'll make an issue of it, and push for someone that is willing to do the job...... it's the only way to guarantee that this level of abuse doesn't just happen again.

Fantasic!!!! This does not need to go away! This woman needs to be held accountable for her deplorable actions with the most severe punishment they can hand down!

When is the case being heard?? is it too late to write a letter????
this is just absolutely uncalled for and unjustifiable. this woman should be locked up and never allowed to own another animal. and to think she wants the horses back for the chance to cause them even more pain and suffering. it's heartbreaking and an outrage.

Does any one know the outcome of that trail? I have known a few cases less server then this one that was sent to prison for 5 years and when she gets out she wont even be able to own a gold fish.

What trial? This one? It's being reviewed by the felony court and the next court date is August 5th (I think).

It's about time someone has to pay for their actions and not just get a tiny slap on the wrist
