A bunch of new (to me) colored stallions

http://www.rollestone-farm.com/STALLIONS.html

I know of the bloodlines of some of these - Samber, Mascarpone, to name a couple - but some are totally new to me.

I like these boys! I like Cutsdean Centurion a lot - will have to investigate him some more.

I knew of the Centyfield horses, but had not remembered them in any of our "who are some colored stallions" discussions.

Boy the movement of tobiano in WBs is so odd.

You've noticed that too huh? I could never quite put my finger on it, but I agree.

It moves more in big square patches with very clean (and square) edges. Unlike the tobiano we usually see in Paints that moves in narrower, rounder and more jagged movement (more like paint poured form the top... whereas this is more like someone layed a table runner over them :rofl). I've also noticed it's much less inclined to cross over the top from the withers forward that it usually is in Paints.

This is a key example of sheer weirdness:

This too for that matter:

Hey... don't get me wrong. This isn't negative at all... just noticing an unusual trend.

ACC, yep, that's it. There was always something in the back of my mind where I could look at a Tobi and almost always think "that's a WB or WBx" and usually be right.

Not all of them look that way, for sure, but if you take a pool of non-WB tobis, and a pool of WB tobis, most of the WB Tobis will have that blocky look, and most of the others won't.

Sempatico and his kids don't have that look.

I have a suspicion there is a lot more Splash in the WB lines than is blatantly visible and I think that has something to do with it.

I think also that Tico is Frame, which leads to a lot of his "unique" looking markings.

I dunno - entirely speculation

Milky Way stood here last year, I think he's a nice mover. What's the thing with Polish Warmblood in this stud? I never thought they were much popular? All Czar, Figiel and granatnik are polish names

I don't think any of them are in the US, which is why we don't know (of) them.

I only know of the Centyfield ones because I stumbled across their site maybe a couple years ago while looking for something else - you know how that works LOL
