OMG!! WT...??? What in the WORLD is going on with that Figiel horse!? That is by FAR one of the strangest expressions I've ever seen. Man... I didn't even know how weird some of these were when I first commented.

The only foals I can find by him are either out of tobiano mares or completely solid. Figures!

All of them work for me, even when ACC quoted mine! How strange.

Well JB I would say the reason that so many warmbloods are E TO is because almost all are from the exact same source AND its a recent source.

The linkage percentage is the same there just hasn't been the time nor the amount for it to split off as much as say APHA.

Does that answer what you were asking?

I think it's mostly because it's so recent. Like in the beginning the Puchilingui line of dominant whites was pretty much exclusively on 'E's. As the line is bred more and more and branches out then you start getting more and more crossovers to the point where about half will be tied to 'e' and the other half to 'E'. We're not there yet, but we're certainly making strides in that direction. With two upcoming stallions who are bound to be hugely popular both being 'DW ee' we'll be seeing lots more.

I just wanted to say, I read everything you write about all these color genetics. It really is fascinating but for me still very confusing. You must be super smart horse people. I just get impressed all over again every time I read one of these threads. Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge.

Yea the other side of Figiel really throws me off too. There is another horse in their offspring section that is tobi w/ no face white and no shield, pretty similar to figiel. But alas it doesn't say who the sire is....

more than anything the way that webpage is not organized is really ******* me off hahaha
