9-9-06 SHow Results and Pictures

Back again from a VERY long show.
My mom and I only brought three of the horses (Felicity stayed home) because my trainer couldn't come. (He was judging a show elsewhere)

I don't remember all the results, but it was a really super day.
Mona gave me six great rides and never did anything "wrong". Her lope was much better than it has been, I had several trainer-friends of my trainer tell me she looks very nice.

Hanna and I did much better in showmanship, we messed up the 90* pivot (I never practiced that until the pattern went up) but she was very good as well.
Hanna and I took Champion in Green Horse WP and she and my mom were reserve champion in Green Horse HUS.

My mom's TB was okay-ish, lol. He started off naughty, but their last two classes were great.

irideazip... look! My shirt!!!!!
Excuse my dumb saddle pad. I am so inept when it comes to lifting a heavy saddle and keeping the darn pad straight.
Oh yeah... new western saddle.

WOW! Do you own a horse that is not absolutely stunning!? Congrats on the show. And I LOVE your shirt....almost as much as I love your horses.

lol, Thank you!

All I can say is... they sure don't get that way w/o WORK. I'm not sure many people I know at my barn/from shows understand just how much work I put into them to get them looking like that.

I can understand! I was a mom taking care of home and working two jobs and my horses were my stress relief. The family learned to leave me alone while I was with my horses because the answer would be NO no matter what they were asking. I also participated in a week long clinic along with the youngersters. ( there were only a few adults mostly students ) It was a nice feeling when the trainer pointed out how quickly I had my mare doing showmanship nicely in just six weeks with the practice being at the end of each weekly lesson. I just worked at it when ever I had a few minutes at home.

Keep up all the work you are doing it is definaltly paying off. My biggest reward was not all ways the ribbons, but the self satisfaction of how my performance improved as a rider and the horses performance improvements.

I think Felicity liked being the "only child" for the day. (The bigger horses pick on her. )

My friend has a dark bay Arabian mare, and she and I were riding around together before our Novice classes started. My mom's TB started nickering all over the place and HAD to sniff my friend's mare. I think he thought she was Felicity.

Thank you everyone!!
