5th Adventure of the Traveling Hoof Pick!

This is going to be done in 3 posts so stay with me!

Tomorrow is my Birthday and my hubby has to be out of town. When my friend Toni found out that I would be by myself for the week end she suggested that I go with her and some friends who were showing their Rocky Mountain Horse in a couple of gaited classes. She said it would be my birthday celebration. So I thought I would bring the Traveling Hoof Pick along. When we got there I realized it was at the Fair! I was so excited because I really love Fairs and thought I had missed it. I had the Traveling Hoof Pick in my back pocket the whole time. Here we go.......

The first horse pictured above is of Easter. She is a 3 year old and they brought her just for the traveling experience. She is such a love! And what a beautiful face! (Be sure to double click to get a bigger view) The second picture is of the horse Shelly was showing. Her name.....LOL......is.......LOL
Pork Chop! Well that's her nick name. She is a little plump! She is on a diet and exercises but she still a little...... Pork Chop! I know the feeling!

Here I am giving Pork Chop a pep talk! Telling her she is going to do great!
I showed her the THP and told her he would bring her luck. The second picture is of me, Pork Chop, Shelly and the THP!

The show! She did pretty good! She was the only horse that wasn't a Tennesee Walker. She would have placed first in one of the shows but she got off on the wrong lead. Still Pork Chop and Shelly were both great and represented the breed well.

So....after the show we fed the horses and put them in stalls and we were off to the PETTING ZOO! I was so excited! Animals are my favorite part of the Fair. The first picture is of a beautiful bull. He was a BIG LOVE and I mean BIG! He weighed 2000 pounds. The sign says he loves to be petted and loved on but especially scratched under the chin. This bull is worthy of a big picture!

And here I am sitting on a Big Bull! Yes.....we had to pay to do that! I told the guy, "Now look.....my birthday is tomorrow and I want to live one more day to have it. Are you sure? LOL!"

One more page! The THP had to see the World's Smallest Horse! Yah.....we had to pay for that one too! It was .50 cents but the THP got in for free.

After lunch we did one more thing! My friends are so great! They love me enough to go on this ride with me!

And if you will notice the THP is in my back pocket!

I had a wonderful day with friends! You can't ask for a better Traveling Hoof Pick Day! Thank you Sher for passing it on to me!

LOL! I will be 44 years old tomorrow! And yah....most of the time I act like a kid! But I sure tire out faster! I am beat!

If anyone doesn't know about the Traveling Hoof Pick....type Traveling Hoof Pick in the search section of this forum to read the previous threads. My friends thought it was such a great fun idea and they had fun participating! I hope we continue this for a long time!
