being served ie serviced ie breed... you dont need more detail than that right?
the foal would def. be smaller because usally when they are carried very long there is some thing wrong with the foal, and it needs more time... Ill see if I can find the article on it

I didn't catch this in the article if it was there, but did this happen in the UK somewhere? If so, that would explain the use of that term.

Yep - it's actually the foal that determines when he's born, not the timeline. If for whatever reason he's taking his sweet time to develop, he will stay in there, so this guy must have had a darn good reason to take that long!

I've never heard of a mare being served before in my LIFE! Never said it didn't exist lol. Not a common term in Canada. I have worked at breeding farms before and NEVER ever heard that!

I find it quite funny, actually. lol. You got SERVED!
