I couldn't of said it any better then you April.

I am so sorry that your friends heart is now like that... I hope it heals quickly with love!

I told him that I didn't know if I wanted to take a chance at going through what some people have lately. It just rips my heart out. Let's hope the rest of the foaling season will be joyful.

I have certainly taken notice of the breeding/birthing problems we have seen here on HGS -- What an awakening it has been for me! I will never again take a live healthy birth of a foal for granted, and have even greater respect and admiration for breeders who devote their lives to improving their breed. Before joining this forum, I was clueless to the number of complications and the huge possibilities of mare and/or foal loss. The education we are receiving from this forum is so rich and authentic.

My heart aches for everyone who has lost any equine friend. Thank you for sharing with us and educating us. It is little consolation, but anything that makes us wiser is oh so valuable.
