3 TB in NY need homes ASAP -- ALL HAVE BEEN PLACED!

I am posting this for another rescue organization in NY - I have no further information except what is posted here - if anyone is interested or able to help, please contact Colleen directly. From what I've been told, these horses need to be moved a.s.a.p.

Thoroughbreds Need Homes

We received a call from a farm in the Pine Bush/Wallkill area that has 3 thoroughbreds available. He said a dealer offered him $150 per horse, but he knew at that price they would be butchered, so he looked us up, hoping we could help find his horses homes instead.He did ask if they can be picked up this week. I know the dealer he is speaking of, and we pulled horses out of the kill pen earlier this year, that the same dealer dumped there.

The owner provided these descriptions, we have not seen these horses in person.

Tommy - 5 y.o. copper chestnut stallion, 15H, hind white socks. Easy keeper, sweetheart, can get a little mouthy. Had a bow that is now healed and he is sound on it.

Shane - 14 y.o. brown/black 16 H mare. Was raced but was too slow. Has been a broodmare. Sound.

ZZ - 10 y.o. bright bay or chestnut (he didn't know exactly) 15.3H mare.Was raced but was too slow. Has been a broodmare. Sound.

He is willing to give them free to a good home. Please help if you can, before they end up at auction where folks will then have to buy them if they want to help them.

Anyone with room?? Inquiries from other rescues welcome!? We have only heard from 2 people, and neither have called back. There are no firm leads at this time.

If there was some way I could get one or two here I would help in a heart beat, my mare needs a friend.

if there was only some way. I truely hope they find homes soon

ohio isnt that far. the rescue who sent me that may be able to put together something to get them moved.

Are these still available? I beleive I could get the mares a home for life if they had papers for sure. Let me know, email is : sarahfitz324@hotmail.com

I know a woman who just bought a 20+ acre farm and has a nice setup and currently only a few mares and a Friesian stallion, she's looking for a few more warmbloods.
