Question 3-in-1 deal; What do you think?

I was looking for a project pony and I came across this ad: http://horsetopia.horse-for-sale.org...horse52684.htm. I emailed the lady about this pony, a 2004 Icelandic/Quarter cross(the ad says she is 3 but her webpage says otherwise). She is listed for $250-350 depending on where you look. And, ironically, while on Dreamhorse, I found this beautiful girl while looking at young horses: http://www.dreamhorse.com/show_horse...orse_id=574057. She is a 2004 APHA black and white tobiano filly for $800. Both are for sale by the same owner.
Also, my sister is interested in training ponies. I told the lady about this and she said that she would give me the APHA filly, the Icelandic/Quarter cross filly, and either of two ASCP colts for $1200. What do you think of that deal? Also, which colt do you think would be better: Flash, the black and white, or Kipper, the solid black? Take a look at those two and the two I am interested in at her webpage: http://www.britgold.us/Shetlands.html. I was thinking that two small ponies and a yearling would not be too much toil in the winter, right?

It sounds like a nice deal. I would get Kipper he looks sturdier but the pics weren't that good IDK. If you know what you are doing having the three shouldn't be a problem

I don't know much about ponies, but that sure seems like a good deal, especially if they are all healthy and you have experience with bringing up the young ones! Best of luck and have fun!

Well, we would have a total of six: a three year old AQHA, a Welsh, two yearlings, and two young ponies. Echo is going to be boarded, though. We have three different pastures and one of them can hold at least three horses.

Also, I was wondering what you think about taking in a stud colt? Would it be worth the additional money to cut him? I asked her if I could get the Shetland mare instead.

I wouldn't get a stud colt. You will probally have your hands full with the other ones, let alone trying to deal with him. It sounds like a great deal, I would have them all vetted first though.

I will not have them vetted. My trainer actually bought two horses from this lady so I know she can be trusted. The lady I work for has the full sister to the black and white paint filly; she let me ride her today and I really liked her. She said that she broke out easy, too.

As for a stud colt, I do not know. The stud colt would be my sister's. We have two pastures that we could put him in alone or even with one of the two geldings. I would be skeptical about that, though.

As long as she can be trusted not vetting is fine then. I didn't know your trainer purchased from her. It's always just risky when it's random total strangers.

Good luck with it all though. If you are sure you have the time to do it, i'd go for it.
