Talking 25 Year Old Mare Had Foal Today!

For those forum members who ask if a mare is too old to breed....here is a live cam shot of a purebred Arabian mare who is 25 years old and her latest foal. I don't know the sex yet but it is a lovely chestnut like it's mother!
Naturally I missed the foaling....darn slow check out line at the grocery store!

I never doubted it! I heard that horses in the wild have an average life span of over 30 years......it is our domestication and hard lifestyles that lead us to believe that 25 is dead in horse years!

We have a 24 year old 1/4 horse at home, acts, looks and feels 8!

Sandra-A1 I LOVE your website. I have a Loren cam for my 10 month old baby on my home page. He is so cute too. We are going to get a barn cam up the next time we have a foal due.
Congrats! I bet it is a filly!

Shell..that's not my cam, mare or filly....sure wish it was though!
I had been checking it and meant to look in this morning, but had so many errands to run that I never turned the computer on. When I finally did get home, got things put away and did turn the computer on I saw that the mare had already had her foal and I missed it...just my luck! ...... wink

OOOPs! I thought it was yours! Ho well. I do have a baby cam for my son Loren though. He is 2 legged, but still cute.
