Thank you kindly! Yes, we oftentimes stack the deck for chestnuts. But we do have some greys, blacks and bays in the herd. We even have one roan. The half-Arabians are palominos. We're not sure how the roan happened, but she's very pretty and always a crowd pleaser.

Lovely foals!

Slightly OT, but what is the "Pulque Preservation Program"?

Thank you kindly!

Pulque++ was bred by Gerald Donoghue. He was Early American Foundation (all of his ancestors have been in the US since before 1944) and SBV. Pulque++ was a versatile athlete with a charming disposition and willing heart. He won Top Tens at US Nationals in English Pleasure and Western Pleasure the same year (one of the last to accomplish that feat). He had dozens and dozens of championships, Class A and Regional, in every performance discipline. In addition to his eye-catching beauty and rare color, Pulque++ was a balanced purebred Arabian with exceptionally good substance, conformation and athletic ability.

Pulque++ was foaled on Valentine's Day and was owned, trained and shown by Carol Chapman Wood (a living legend of a true horsewoman). He was the prime example of the excellence and versatility that are found in Early American Foundation Arabian bloodlines.

After 1960, the influx of imported Arabian horses vastly influenced the Arabian breed in the US. Extreme change began to occur in the status quo of the showring and the "flavor of the month" for National Champion halter horses. The "look" of the Arabian horse was drastically changed by the imports coming into high fashion. As a result, many of the original sirelines began to disappear, including that of Pulque++.

Pulque++ get and grandget numbered over 1000, all bearing his indellible stamp of good looks, personality and athletic excellence. By 2000, there was only one sireline grandson remaining in the world, BT Sun Dancer. There was only one bay grandson remaining in the world, Mesqual. Of the two sireline granddaughters remaining, one is untraceable and the other is no longer producing. She has only one offspring.

When this realization happened, we founded the Pulque Preservation Program, to re-establish the Pulque++ bloodline, making his looks, charm and abilities available to riders and horse owners today. The color is rarely found, the abilities are unequalled, the charm and presence are breathtaking of Pulque++ Preservation Program Foals.
