Talking The 2007 ICHR Stallion Service Auction is up and running

If you are planning on breeding your mare in 2007 and have not yet found the stallion you are looking for, please take a look at the 2007 International Champagne Horse Registry stallion service auction.

There are some gorgeous stallions listed again this year. If you really want to stand out in the crowd, try for your own champagne. This is your chance to purchase a breeding for 1/2 the normal stud fee. All proceeds go to benefit the ICHR.

You can see the auction listings here: eBay - ICHR, Equestrian, Sporting Goods items on eBay.com
You can also find more information on the stallions listed in the auction here: 2007 Auction

Thank you,
Tracy

Some handsome guys. It makes me wish I had a nice mare to breed to them.

And I love the variation you can get with Champagne. Each of them is so varied in shading and how dark or light they are.

Only a couple more days to bid. :-)

If anyone out there is thinking of bidding, there are only a couple more days to go on the auction. :-) It has been unusally slow this year. The auction had almost everyone sold by this time the past couple of years. :-s If you do decide to bid, you have a good chance of getting the stallion service that you want.

Heavenly Jumper,

Unfortunately, there have not been any true champagnes documented in the morgan breed as of yet. There has been a look a like, but she does not have a champagne parent so cannot be champagne. Hopefully, a true champagne morgan will be found in the future. There are a few nice

AcmeAcres,

Oh yes. :-) Cool Looking Dude is a lovely stallion. I have a soft spot for him, especially since he is a My Skip Vanzi son like my guy. Angus is also ICHR registered. ;-) He was the high selling horse in the ICHR Stallion Service Auction in 2005. That breeding resulted in a beautiful amber champagne colt. Angus has some beautiful foals on the ground. Were you planning on breeding any of your mares to him to maybe get a filly to cross back on your own beautiful stallion?

This is my My Skip Vanzi son, in totally unfit, unsweated pasture puff condition. He was shown as a short yearling one time by his former owner and took home a blue ribbon in halter. I took him home the next week and he was injured shortly afterword when some sheet metal blew off his shelter in a storm. He caught his right front fetlock on the metal and cut both extensor tendons and half way through the fetlock joint. I thought I was going to loose him but fortunately, the vet was able to keep the joint from going septic.

No, actually we weren't going to be breeding to Angus this year. Not sure if we will in the future or not, just due to our focus on certain colors and pedigrees. Laurie and Paul are two wonderful people to deal with. Laurie was thinking about breeding her Amber Champagne mare Gemma to Player this year, haven't quite convinced her to do that yet.

We just sold our My Skip Vanzi BS filly in October. Own granddaughter of Mr Yella Fella on top. 16 hands as a yearling! Another gal we know has a yearling? son of Angus out of another My Skip Vanzi mare for sale.

Hello,

Lol, you should keep working on that Gemma to Player cross. ;-) It would be an interesting one for sure.

Is the Angus yearling the amber colt that Tanzante Quarter horses has for sale?

I have a dark gold champagne colt for sale as well if you know of anyone looking.

Im working on it! She can't breed her to Angus for obvious reasons. Funny part is, our friends that we bought Player from wanted Gemma and then the Pal filly we sold was out of a daughter of Glass of Diamond. Small Champagne circle Yes, that's the colt. Im not sure why she got a Champagne, she always said they were icky looking when we had her stud at our house.
