why they should be the '07 Appaloosa: She is one of the sweetest horses around. She will come trotting to you in the pasture and is always excited to do whatever with you. She would rather be with people than other horses. She pretty much is a girl's best friend.

Why they should be the '07 appaloosa:She is just an outstanding horse. Nothing bothers her.....I swear. She is soo gentle and easy to work with. Also, (along with her sister) is the most loving horse that I have ever met. She will but other horses out of the way just to make sure to give you lots of love. She is always ready for your attention and would rather be with you than other horses.....just like Justice. They are soo similar in soo many ways that it's freaky. lol But, different also and that's why I love them and nominated them both for this.

why they should be the '07 Appaloosa: My daughter bought Dollie last year at the auction as a 4H project horse. Kalyn had already picked out a black yearling colt when this little yearling appy filly walked up behind her in the loose pen and just stood there like she was waiting for Kalyn to notice her. Dollie went through the sale ring first and Kalyn paid $375 for her. She is unregistered but is a fantastic horse that is worth more than her weight in gold! And has so much potential The two of them have become a marvelous team over the last year and have colored Kalyn's bedroom walls with ribbons of all diff colors. Dollie will do anything Kalyn asks her to do, and she can put anyone with no riding experience on her with no worries. We just feel so blessed to have Dollie- she got my daughter through an extremely difficult last 6 months and we just love her to pieces. She will never leave our farm!

why they should be the '07 Appaloosa: She is so sweet all the time. She doesn't ever get moody. She always tries her hardest for me, and she learns so fast. She has a great mind and is always willing to do whatever I ask. She is just always a pleasure to work with a be around. She also always thinks before she acts. She is truly my best friend I trust her with my life.

why they should be the '07 Appaloosa: She is my baby, she got me through alot of ruff times, and she tought me so much about patience! I met her when i worked at camp during the summer. She was one of the meanest and craziest horses ever. But something about her just made me fall in love with her. I started working with her every day and she completly changed. I think she just needed some one to love her. She went from being mean and crazy to very loveable and cuddly. She was abused before, and with lots of time spent from me, she became very great! She is an amazing trail horse and has lots of potential for other things. Shes so smart, she always helped me feel better when i had a ruff day by playing with me. And she let me cry on her anytime, even if she wasnt in a good mood! She will always be Number 1 in my heart

I think Rayven should be the 07' Appaloosa just because of everything she has done for me. She works so hard to try and please me, sometimes she works to hard and becomes annoying!! lol! But whenever i go to a show without her, she just stands in her stall all sad a mooping, and wont even take a treat from my mom, she never does, this doesnt happen just when i go to shoes, whenever im gone and she doesnt see me for more than a day. She gets worried that i will leave her. Im pretty sure Rayven was abused in her past home, everytime i came past her she would kida shutter away, when i would raise my hand up to fix her forelock or something she would throw her head up, and be real cautious over me. But now she is in the best home, even tho she is for sale, she will always be mine, we have a bond that will never be broken, even if she passes away, or if she gets sold. She will always be mine. So that is why I believe Rayven should be the 07' Appy, because she is so determined to make u believe that even at the age of 19, she will still get out there and run some fine barrels!!!

why she should be the '07 appy-umm well,she's was my first pony,she's is really nice,follows me around the pasture,and when i started to train her,she never bucked (even the first time i got on her),and cuz she so cute. =]

Lilly came to me in 2006 as a yearling. we have worked through trial and error, and she has shown me what a wonderful friendship you can have with a horse.
when she came to me, she barely led, she was head shy and she was pushy... now she is leads, at arms length, or closer if I chose, at a walk trot and Canter. she is not pushy, she watches my space.
she yields her hind and fore quarters. she lounges, walk trot canter, changes direction. I taught her to Bow. she loads like a pro. when she turned two I decide to try and hop up on her. not a single flinch. later in the summer I bought a saddle. the first time I put it on, she just trotted away like she has always worn one. A very proud and exciting moment.
we took a couple of trips this year. two to my friends house, where she learned to swim in the river and play nice with other horses. our funnest trip though was a trail ride on the C and O canal. this is a bike/hike/riding path. I went with the same friend, for a little while, I led Lilly then while my friend ponied her I rode her! then when I felt confortable enough I clipped my lead ropes to her halter and rose her one my own! she was a little iffy about the bikes but she did really well. imo. we went four miles (two up and back)
not everything has been hunky dori. she is still a little ear shy.. (though I just discovered that she hit her forehead and it is bruised... which makes it worse) she backs but has a terrible problem with tossing her head when I ask. she also used to have a rearing problem, but she no longer does that.
she was very calm when I sold her companion, Caesar. and a few days later when I bought Sori, she was horrible toward him. but after she dominated herself as the boss mare, she is nice to Sori...

Age: 7
Why I think she should be the 2007 appy:Chicky was my first horse.She taught me how to ride, she's brought me thru some really hard times.I've had her for 6 years.She is also the only horse I can do anything with, and she takes it all like it's nothing. I honestly can say she has NEVER spooked! Not even as a yearling. Everything has always been fine by her. Shes been my partner in crime,my shoulder to cry on, my lift when I'm down, my angel in descize, she is everything to me. Shes my best friends, and I wouldn't trade her for the world. She is fun to ride, even with her bucking, but yet she is gentle as a lamb for kids. She helped make a little boys wish come true, even when she was hurt. She is my faithful partner, and she take the best of care of me. No matter what she is always gonna be my girl. I've almost lost everything many times just to keep her. My life is spent for and with her. I don't care if I could never rider her again she would still be my number one. Nothing comes between us ever. If there is heaven on earth Chicky is my heaven. She is and will always be a part of my heart and soul.
