2005 AQHA Filly - Rare Champagne Color

I am posting this for a good friend. She has an adorable filly for sale.

This AQHA Filly is a Rare Champagne color, has a dorsal stripe (dun) and could possibly be reg palomino if her mane comes in white, which it looks like it might.

Daughter of Diversified who won 2 year old Worlds (AQHA) in Snaffle Bit and then returned as a 2, 3 and 4 year old and won the Worlds in Halter (AQHA).

WHOA... the stallion is HUGE!

She is going to be like him, but with Pleasure riding capability! She is one nice filly, her muscles are natural and huge!

Her eyes are way cool!

Hard to see, but they are Hazel!

Beautiful filly. How would she be registered palomino, though? I have just never seen a horse with a dorsal stripe and blue eyes before. What a charm.

Her sire is identical to her, and he is AQHA/PHBA Palomino.

There are only 40 Registered AQHA horses that are registered with ICH registry. ICH is the International Champagne Horse registry.

OH and all his foals (including her) are eligable for:

Go For the Gold
Michigan QH Futurity
Minnesota QH Futurity
NOQH
Breeders Trust

I always thought Champagne and Palamino were TOTALLY different colors.... Palamino's have DARK eyes, not blue (unless they're paints or Appys... ). If AQHA is accepting them as Palamino's it could really screw up a lot of breeders as the genes DON'T work the same way.

She's a LOVELY filly... I totally wish I could come up with money for something like her. I love Champagnes, diluted, but not colorless. And he's a hunky stud.

All I know is her sire is AQHA and PALOMINO.

You would have to check on the other registries and or research them more. She will be registered AQHA no matter what.

Champagne and palomino are different. However with AQHA champagne is not a color choice when registering.

Your choices are:
sorrel
chestnut
black
brown
bay
buckskin
dun
red dun
palomino
grulla
red roan
blue roan
gray
bay roan
cremello
perlino

I don't know if they have added any new color choices as of yet (didn't have any foals this year...so didn't have to register anyone). The newest ones are perlino and cremello. Those two color were just recently "allowed" into AQHA. Personally I think that they should add more color choices
ie- champagne, smokey cream, smokey black, liver chestnut, ect.
But I guess with horses....you never know what's going to happen with color(liver chestnut, chocolate palominop, smutty buckskin, ect.)...so it's somewhat hard to keep up, and have all of those colors available for registration.

BTW, her color is really nice!
