I think the GC looks more Classic and the RC looks more 'modern'. I thought so in the dual Champions photo too. If they were a similar weight it might be a closer contest; GC is maybe a little more than 'halterweight'. Nice, regardless.

Arabkid I liked the Reserve Champion better too!
I thought he had a nicer neck when it came to length and shape, but you have to admit that when it came to 'presence' the champion sure did show himself better.
Look are his balanced/collected movement, as well as presence, compaired to the Reserve Champion....I have to admit the Grand Champion presented the total 'Arabian type' package better on that night!:
Grand Champion:

Reserve Champion:

What is so cool is on another day, at a different show, the placings could be different with Imperial Baarez taking the top honors! What super horses the both of them are!....but I still liked Hlayyil Ramadan best...I think he was robbed...LOL!
Your right about the presence. But if I were going to breed to one, it would be the reserve! lol

Those are stunningly beautiful. I can't take my eyes off those grey studs. Something about a gleaming white Arab.

Arabkid... I prefer the shorter loin and back along with teh croup of the Grand Champion BUT I prefer the head, neck and shoulder flow of the Reserve... Combine the two and I'd have a Sublime horse!!!!! LOL Well I'd have to dye them Chestnut first too, with flaxen mane and tail, LOLOL...

Maybe if we ever meet you can come see our versace offspring!! lol we actually have quite a few. Our stallion is sire by him (couturier being our stallion (aka Rick))

These are just 3 of them we have pics of..

http://www.wunderbararabians.com/home.html the foal in the picture is a versace daughter. We have sold her thought and now she is 4 years old.
http://www.wunderbararabians.com/hor...outurier1.html This is our stallion "Rick".

http://www.wunderbararabians.com/horsepages/movado.html Gelding Movaodo.
http://www.wunderbararabians.com/filliescolts.html these are three are sired by our stallion so Versace is there grandpa.

We do have two more Versace daughters but probably won't breed back to him anymore because of the SCID thing. Plus are stallion is doing as good of job for us so we're happy.

Oh yea this gelding "Robert" is sired by Versace aswell! (the one in the picture)

, Yah I've looked at your guy... I think he's VERY pretty... although in all honestly, I see the Gainey breeding him him ALOT (which is not a BAD thing)...

Versace's sire, Fame V, was STUNNING, but from people I know who spent time handling him, he was more like his sire, Shah, in the temperament dept, sigh... Versace' though is supposed to have HIS head screwed on better

To be honest, I have met versace, and I don't think his head is screwed on any better than bey shah....thats why they can't ride him. They show picture of him in tack and sometimes people sitting one him, but no one can truly ride him. We have been lucky all of our horses have AWESOME temperments.

AH HA!!!! This is why I like to see horses (or dogs) in person prior to purchase or breeding! I am a TEMPERMENT Freak! YES conformation and correct breed type are very important but if you can't ride 'em or handle 'em safely what is the point of owning them IMO! You get the beautiful heads from Bey Shah, but alas too many screws loose...sigh... I'm glad to hear YOU guys are getting solid temps though
