I agree with the others. I have jumped a 30 (!) year old horse at least 2ft6 and she was fine- in fact, I believe she may still be alive! (probably 36 now)

If the horse is in good shape there is no reason to think that at 20 they are too old for anything!

My pony was about 20 when we were jumping him 4'. When he went blind in one eye however we really cut it down, and eventually just gave him to someone who would retire him. We stopped jumping once he went blind because he was really jumping sideways over jumps because he couldn't see. If he had of been allowed to keep jumping he def. would have He loved it.

I agree with everyohne as long as he's happy and healthy to do it go for it

Well, realistically it will depend on the horse, but if he is healthy and happy and willing to do it, there is no reason why he shouldnt

I was still jumping and gaming my standardbred well into his 24 year old year
