20 Pound Clubbers..something to think about

Here is something to think about. The other day I was watching Oprah (which I normally do not do) and Janet Jackson was on. This is what peaked my attention. She had gained 60 pounds for a movie aprt and then had to lose it again. She had gotten up to 180 pounds.

How did she gain it? She ate ice cream, pizza, burgers and fries, etc. And she ate big portions.

She lost 60 pounds in 4 months. How did she lose it? By working out daily. She did cardios and free weights and muscle targeting exercises. She ate chicken and veggies and fruit. everything had to be grilled or baked. She ate 5 small meals a day instead of fewer bigger meals. If you eat small portions through out the day it will boost your metabolism. Do not skip meals. If you do your body goes into starvation mode. I think I am going to try to eat more often through out the day.

Janet jackson just turned 40 years old. that is only 4 years younger than me. I liked that!

Hey, if she can do it then so can you or any of the rest of us. Don't starve yourself, just eat less at a time, and better. Exercise is the KEY....without it you will not loose as much and you won't get toned either.

Great Idea Launa

You are right. Exercise really is the key. Other benifits from exercise are healthier bones, better heart, better lungs. I keep reminding myself of all the benifits of exercise to keep me motivated!
