| Junior Member | 2 yo pleasure prospect
What do you think about this 2 yo western pleasure prospect? This is pics from our 4th ride. I know I throw my upper body forward (from riding to much youngsters I will try and get some videos and a conformation photos to but this is what I have at this point... I am trying to just think forward att this point. He is very naturally slow and lazy This is a stallion by a Radical Rodder stud and out of my halterbred mare. He is not a big one, but still growing of course. (hope I get the pics right here

He's built for a 2 YO! RR is a very nice stallion and I've seen some nice sons standing too. Nice to see you asking for length of stride. Too many people let them jog along and never learn to use themselves fully. He's very nice and looks like he wants to carry himself in a long low frame naturally. I'd love to see a video of him. |

Thank you! I do belive to let them work forward and learn to carry themself before slow them down, this will come with the stregth. It will not be a problem to slow this one down I also don't ride the 2 year olds to much, I like to just have them walk, jog/trot and lope and then I give them time of. He is born in February and well put together. I have another 2 yo that I haven't even been on beacuse he isn't ready yet. Thanks again!

But we don't have to much good pleasure studs here in Sweden/Scandinavia so I am hoping he will prove himself!

He's very well put together. I also agree with those who have said let him move out. That's the reason I'm showing my coming 3 y/o HUS as our focus and not moving to WP for a bit...although his sire is a big WP stud in the area. I say throw him more rein...in the first undersaddle pic he is really hanging on the bit. Throw away your reins and see if he rounds himself out naturally.
