2 Year Old Paint Filly in Central Iowa - FREE (Kind of!)

I'm posting this for a friend. This is a LOVELY, big filly. She will probably finish out close to 16H.

She is register-able w/APHA but her owner never sent her papers in. I'm not sure what it would take to get that done but he is still in contact with the stallion owner so I'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard. She should qualify for regular papers. If registration is completed this year it will cost $250. I guarantee it would be worth it.

She does have a hernia that will need to be taken care of. As such she is FREE to a perfect home. My vet says it will cost between $75 & $250 to take care of this.

Adults may PM me for more information.

She appears to have decent ground manners but is still VERY green. Because of this she is not appropriate for children and will only be given to an experienced ADULT horseperson.

what are her bloodlines?

I'm not sure. I believe he mentioned that her sire was Sonny Dee Bar bred. She definitely looks the part. That's all I really know.

She really is unbelievably nice. If I can't help find her a good home I will probably end up taking her so she doesn't end up at the sale barn.

I need another horse like I need a hole in the head but she really left an impression on me.

Bumping this up. This is seriously one of the nicest, most well-balanced 2 year-old paints I've ever seen. She's standing like a do.rk in the second pic but trust me when I say she is VERY straight and correct all the way around.

I'll very likely regret finding her a home with someone else.

Take advantage of the opportunity now before I change my mind & take her home as my future jumping prospect.

Man...that IS a nice filly. When I first looked at the pics (which I always do, then go back and read) I thought..hey...that's no filly with a doohinky hangin there....LOL

Then I read that she had a hernia and felt stupid. She is lovely.

WHAT?????

I got my Paint when he was three, with papers but not registered and they said it would cost $500 to register him.

Did I get hoodwinked?

PS...I never did register him as it wasn't all that important. Imma trail rider, cow herder.

Thankfully she's not a horsey hermaphrodite!

She really is extremely nice. Seems to have a great personality too. Very curious, couldn't keep her nose out of my camera which is why the pics aren't the best.

Was that a special they ran on late registrations? The application says $250 for two year olds. I thought either AQHA or APHA was having a registration special but I saw no mention of it on the APHA website.
