Talking 2 Questions for Admin....

First Q~
How long are we able to edit posts, and threads?

Second Q~
Are we always going to have to go to the gallery to post our pics,
if so, is it to create more room on HGS?

It takes a long time going to the gallery to get a pic with Dial up....

Just so ya'll know,
I do appreciate all that your doing to try and improve the forum for us and that I'm not complaining, Kinda gotten used to most of the new features now and I likey... Thanks~

You can always edit a post you make

And the gallery is new...so I doubt there will be changes in it too soon

I believe you can edit your post for up to one week and edit the thread title for up to two weeks. I may extend that if there is a need.

No matter what method we used, it would take the same amount of time to upload your pictures. Uploading high resolution photos on dialup is plain slow and the only way to help that is to compress the pictures more (save with higher compression so the filesize is lower).

The gallery system is the same speed at uploading. It may be an extra click because you have to first upload the picture and then insert it. However, there is an "upload" button within the thread post interface which is pretty quick to get to.

There are a few reasons we are doing it this way.. For one, with the old system people were uploading the same pictures 20 times to put them in each thread (which took up space, server resources, and was a waste of time). With the new system you only have to upload it once. Second, this way people who are interested in pictures can browse the gallery to see pictures from a particular user, a particular type, most recent, most popular, top rated, searchable, etc. And Third, since users are uploading pictures anyways, it's nice to have a huge resource of all these different horse pictures categorized properly.

This option must be new? In the past I have edited posts of mine that were over a week old and was never able to edit the title once posted.
