19" Brown Dressage Saddle & Plus Size Show Clothes - Photos Added!

Okay, so, I probably won't be back into showing Dressage for quite some time. My current mare just doesn't have the patience for it and we're saving up to buy a new house/land. With the price of gas, it's hard to justify going to shows just to torture my mare, lol. The gelding I have that will likely be my Dressage horse will NEVER fit the tree of this saddle (he's an Anglo Arabian that is more narrow in build), so I figure I'll see if I can find it a good home . I only rode in this saddle for 4 months. It was always stored covered and wiped down after every ride. It is in GREAT condition.

This is an Argentine made saddle that I had semi-custom made for me. It's a DEEP 19" seat with a medium-wide to wide tree. The pommel is partially cut back, so it should work well for a horse that is broad through the back and shoulders but has high withers. The panels are wool flocked and gusseted, easily altered by a saddle fitter to fit your horse just right. It has moderate knee rolls; just enough to encourage a good position without forcing you to stay in one spot. The seat, knee pad, thigh pad, and panel leather is SOFT calf skin. It didn't need to be broken in at all. The flap leather is sturdy smooth cow hide that is only just beginning to be broken in. The billets are long. The color is a medium havana with a very slight red tint. It looks great on all colors of horses and is pretty easy to match as far as bridles. It's close in color to the old Stubben Siegfried saddles.

Here's a close up I took of the actual saddle when I first got it, showing the knee rolls and billets. You can see the new color, though it has darkened with use and cleaning.

Pictures from today (6-29) below. I cleaned it and oiled it with Hydrophane leather dressing (which I really recommend!).

The width measures 5.5" at the level of the d-rings, from the inside of the padding. It measures the same as my 31.5 CM Stubben Siegfried. The tape in this photo slid up a bit.

I will include a brand new black Dressage pad and your choice of jointed 4 3/4" irons or 5" regular irons, both also new (no leathers or girth). I paid $800 for this saddle alone and I'd really like to get $500 for it with the pad and irons. It's a very nice saddle and well worth the price.

The 19" seat size worked well for me. I'm 5'8" with a long inseam (33"). When I was riding this saddle I wore a size 20-Tall in jeans (38-40 breeches). My husband also liked it and he normally rode in an 18" saddle and is 5'10". It would work great for a very tall rider or a larger lady like myself .

I have a black ThinLine Endurance sized pad I can throw in for an additional $60 (retail $95). These are GREAT pads for shock absorption and non-slip. My mare really likes them! Use it over a normal square pad.

I have a Courbette bride in horse size that will match this saddle. It does not have a flash. The padding is a lighter newmarket color and it comes with laced reins. You can see it in this photo of my mare and my daughter. It was only used the one time and was oiled well. I have an extra pair of Cob cheek pieces as my mare has a short head, but nose too big around for cob cavesons, lol. This bridle is $225 new and cheek pieces are $45. I'll let the bridle and cheek pieces go for $190, or just the bridle for $175, no additional shipping charges. It's Courbette's "Narrow Padded" show bridle, model # F-8200.

I'm not really wanting to sell this bridle though, as it does match my daughter hunt saddle, but I'll let it go with this saddle if it's a deal breaker, lol.

Okay, on to the show clothes! I have two pair of white full seat breeches in size 38L for both.

One is a pair of Dublin Hilda breeches. These have a micro-rib material with an interesting squared off full seat. Both are quite flattering to the round hiney, lol. The full seat is clariano and there is a zipper pocket on the left side. They are slightly yellowed from storage, but totally unused. The tags are still on! They would likely whiten right up if washed with bleach. $40.
Production information with a photo: http://www.horsetackco.com/dublin-hi...0d92403d61d29a
I will take actual photos if anyone is interested.

The second pair is another pair of Dublins. They are traditional 90% cotton 10% lycra material with clariano full seat. Traditional round shaped full seat that is inset (sewn into the material, not on top). They have a slash zipper pocket on the right side. Again, new with tags and these are still WHITE and very nice! $45

I have a white Majestic Apparel short sleeve show shirt with two collars in a size 48. The front button area is covered, so no buttons show (what do they call that, placard front?). The material is 65% poly 35% cotton, very easy to wash and iron. The actual bust measurement, from underarm to underarm, is 28", and tapers to a waist measurement of 25" across. This is a very generously cut shirt! It fit me well at a size 20/22. Again, new but without tags, $35.

Lastly I have a nice black Dressage coat. It's an 18/24 brand in size 26. It is 100% light weight Wool with black satin lining. It is a 4-button front with a single vent back. The back has some nice seam details, a curved seam coming out from the middle of the arm hole down to the buttons on each side of the single vent. The front has princess type seams between the front pockets (which are real!) and the middle. It fits like a 22-24 in street clothes. The laid out flat bust measurement is 28.5", waist 26.5", total back length from the bottom of the collar to the hem is 30.5", and the arm from shoulder seam to the end is 26". New with tags. It was $250 new. I'd like to get $175 for it. Here is the hunt version, the Dressage is no longer made.

I will take actual pictures for anyone interested.

I will take Paypal, Money Order, or I can take Credit Card over the phone from work. I'm located in Little Rock, AR 72205. Local pick up is available, other wise shipping is from this location. I will ship Priority Mail or FedEX. I need your zip code to figure shipping costs. luvs2ride1979@yahoo.com

OMG I love that saddle!

Anyway I could get some pics from the front to see how wide it is? And maybe a measurement of the gullet?

Thanks!

You're just my size! I've been looking for a good 19" saddle... What would you want for all of it together (without the bridle)?

Let's see, it would be $855 with the thinline pad if you total up the prices I have. I'd take $780 for it, and that would include shipping to most areas.

Preppy has first dibs of course . I'll get those pictures tomorrow. I cleaned and oiled it today. I'll let it dry overnight, so the real color shows up better, and take pictures of everything tomorrow.

Pictures are up! I compared it to my 31.5 cm Stubben Siegfried and it measured the same at the d-rings.

lol, well, you got two people in front of you. Preppy still hasn't responded back to me, but she may not be the type to live at her computer like I do, .
