I feel sorry for those animals.

It just goes to show that slaughter houses closing is NOT the reason this is happening. Not when you have 7 of them in your country!

I hope all those horses will be rehomed with loving and caring owners.

"sigh", I was waiting for this thread.

I know this man. I can NOT believe he did this. he is just such a nice man. He is so unbelievably knowlegable about horses. He is the last person I would expect to do this. He knows everything there is to know about arab bloodlines. I asked him about Bey Eclypse, because that is my horses sire, and he talked to me about him, his bloodlines, his offspring for about half an hour. He knows everything about tack. He gave me a normally 50$ bit, he just gave me it.


Myself and the people at my barn are in absolute shock. 101 horses were seized. 29 were found dead in a corral in the front of his property, young horses were found in shacks with chicken and geese. The ammonia on the property were killing them.

None of us knew that this was happening. One day I asked him how many horses he had, he said he doesnt count, because it is just way to many. I am shocked, the BO is shocked. We are terrified that we let him work our horses, however he didn't EVER mistreat them. His horses are so valuable.

The worst part is that because the man now has 5 DAYS to get them fattened up for the auction that MANY will be bought by kill buyers. It is just terrible.

I know that what this man did was a terrible, awful, cruel thing to do, but PLEASE for the sake of me, don't call him a horrible man repeatedly. You can say what he did was terrible, but please, not he in particular was terrible. The person mentioned in the article is not the man I am talking about, but the man I am talking about lived on this farm, and was this other persons partner (wether it be life, or business, I think it was his wife).

I am appalled at what he did, and I am so sorry for these horses, if you are looking for a quality horse, ATTEND THIS AUCTION. You will receive a quality horse for a low price. These horses were wonderful. They deserve to be going for upwards of 20,000+ each.
