Papers don't come with the horse. Bloodlines can't be proven without papers unless you have the money for DNA typing, but then you still need him to sign off and he won't.
I would be surprised if they make it to $300. Meat men won't pay much for thin horses that they have to feed up. I'm not sure about the greys either. I thought meatmen didn't buy greys...or is that just a old wives tale? Maybe that was for personal consumption only...no greys.

This whole situations is absolutely terrible. No animal deserves the way these poor creatures have been treated.

Hopefully I can work with Bar N K to purchase at least one (maybe more) of these horses. Please let is know if anyone would like to donate. Bar N K already has two foster homes open and has experience in rescue, she just needs some additional funds

It looks like the local Arabian club may be trying to purchase the entire herd. If I find out more I will post the info as I (assume) they will need donations.

We don't want well meaning individuals bidding against each other.

Hopefully with this many people interested we can save all these horses.

I am about 2 or 3 hours away from this auction...I wish I were closer, I would like to go. My grandparents live at Westlock, very near to the auction.

Interesting! I hope they can do it. I assume they'd be rehabbing them and then adopting them out? I wonder if they need foster homes?

I will pass along any info I get. They are looking into placing them all at one farm and then adopting them out once they are healthy. To me that seems like a huge undertaking (there are 101 horses in varying states of health) but if they can do it that would be awesome.

Wow that'd be awesome if they could do it! Where are you getting that info from? I tried to do a search but couldn't find anything LOL

I am going to email Bar N K separately but the organization: http://www.arabianhorserehomingresrouce.com is trying to organize US people who want to help.

Right now the director there really needs someone who has access to the auction site and the horses to take pictures of the horses so people know what to bid on. If someone can do this or knows of someone who can do this please pm me or can contact someone at the Arabian Rehoming resource. I have no idea what the rules are out there and I don't want anyone to get in trouble but I had heard that some people may have access out there. I know Rehoming Resource are working really hard there to make good things happen in this short amount of time.
