Another one. What a mess this world is getting too...

I'm in WA. I can't attend the auction (to far and across the border from me), but would take on a couple of mares or babies in a heart beat. I have the space, time, and the know-how to rehab starved horses. I really hope that they end up in good homes, but sadly the reality is that most probably won't.

If thier papers went with them, some might have a better chance. I always send papers with any horse I sell. This is really a sad state of affairs and I'm gonna go hug my horses.

They showed some of the horses on the news last night, they looked pretty rough Poor things. Hopefully the news coverage is promoting them enough that a lot of people will turn up at the auction and buy them.

I wish we could take on another horse right now or I would buy one, but financially we just can't
Cowgurly02,
Are you near to where the auction will be held?

These horses may be sold without papers, but they will be very good riding horses.

Some of these horses are national caliber - halter, & performance. I stood in Axel's field a little over a year ago in winter, surrounded by 60 horses, and not one horse was thin. If there were starving ones, I did not see them then. What is happened now is obviously another story. My heart is broken. What that means to me for the older horses is that if a person buys one, then it can be brought back into shape. Young ones --- hard to say ---since they need the nutrition to grow properly.

If anyone knows anyone who wants to play in the open competition reining arena, there are some very, very good horses for this discipline in this herd. As for pretty, some of the studs used in this program the last 10-15 years were international halter champions. Some were international race sires and winners themselves.

I cannot urge everyone enough, that even without papers, these horses are good horses.

I have just confirmed that the hold period for the SPCA siezure is 10 days. They have been at the feedlot coming 2 weeks.

No papers have been surrendered nor are they being given.

They will sell as grades.

There are some with more health issues than I have already stated. IT IS BUYER BEWARE.

Deworming and feet have not been done. Most of these are full of worms.

Some are in healthy condition, most are not.

Just waiting to here from a couple more contacts.

IF, donations come in before Thursday, I will most likely be going.

I have my finances tied up in dental work for this weekend.

If anyone who can't make it, but would like to purchase one, please call me at 780-430-5993 to make arrangements.

It is so good to know that at least some people are able to help, I so wish I was able but I just cannot.

I am planning to attend the auction. Will not be buying myself, but could keep an eye out if someone is interested. PM me if you are SERIOUSLY wanting a horse from there. I'm sure I could find temporary holding facilities.
