As I understood from the web page, the AC4H were not the brokers or dealers but only an organisation which had contact brokers who would allow them to advertise the horses which were up for slaughter. They take donations to cover gas and legitimate expenses. There is no such thing as a free lunch and people do give their time but it costs money to get to and from these places and probably gain trust to get into. I think from what the ac4h were saying, there is no gain for them - they do it to simply save a few of the horses which end up in the slaughter brokers/yards. Good for them is all I can say- at least some make it. Last edited by Poppy n Rio; 11-04-2009 at 12:58 AM. |
