So brokers bought them? and indefinantly going to another auction, which is full of killer buyers, if not adopted?
No, these horses are NOT at the AC4H rescue. The rescue has "befriended" several horse brokers in the area in an attempt to get horses into good homes. These brokers buy and sell horses both privately and at auction to make money. AC4H goes to the brokers about once every week, evaluates and takes pictures of the new horses, then posts the info on their websites in an attempt to place the horses privately, since all auctions pose many risks to the horses. The brokers do not allow the average person to come on their property and try out horses, unless you happen to know them. So the work that AC4H does is crucial to help keep these horses away from auctions. If the horses are not purchases by private individuals, either with or without AC4H, then yes they will be run through an auction, usually outside of PA where they tend to bring higher prices and yes some will end up with kill buyers but there are many other risks associated with auctions.

Val and the cremello stallion Chance are at a safe house in PA. A very nice lady that has Paso Finos drove 3 hours to New Holland and met Christy and picked up the horses. We're arranging transport to CA now. Don't forget to keep checking the AC4H website under broker owned for new horses. www.ac4h.com

Val arrived at 2:30 this afternoon safe and sound. Pictures do not do her justice, she is very pretty. She has rolled, bucked and has the cutest whinny. She is in a holding area for a few days until she and her pasture buddy Darby get to know each other over the fence. She is a sweetheart. The hauler loved her! Will post pictures having computer problems
