There's also a paint pony mare on page three that looks to have a very smooth extended trot

You said somebody is taking the chestnut stallion correct? Says he's still available.. I wonder why.. I guess maybe the adoption hasnt gotten processed all the way.

I like the look of that 4 yr old and she's the one that I mentioned looked a bit pacey. With good gait training though, she could be trained for a nice runwalk. I like her build and she has a nice head.

Yeah, and maybe all she needs is someone that knows how to ride a gaited correctly too. Some gaiteds if not all will get lazy and go into a pace if you dont know what your doing. I noticed this when I sold my rocky mountain. He knew who "knew" how to ride and who didnt. I could tell aswell because with people with experience in riding gaited horses he daisy clipped up a storm.. with less experienced people he went directly into a pace and or gaited sloppy and was dubbed "rough" when in actuality it was the rider. The rider makes a huge impact on how the horse gaits. Your saddle seat dictates what the horse is going to do. A sloppy posture and high rein/forced head carriage means a sloppy gait as the horse cant collect like he or she needs to. I was always told you need to sit back and straight in the saddle, legs placed forward, heels down and low rein carriage, draw in the reins lightly and put even pressure on each side of the bit for a horse that is still in training or needs help with collection but dont carry a high rein and tight rein and force the head in, that's asking for an accident. Most people that rode Teddy when they test rode him, rode him like a QH and in turn he "rode" like a QH. Very few actually rode him correctly and those that did got a phenomenal gait out of him. I couldnt even get him to rack that well. It's all in the rider. She's not sitting her correctly and that could be a part of why she's pacing. She could just be being lazy because it takes less effort to pace then actually gait and knows the girl doesnt know what she's doing or it could be training but I'd bet it's because she's just being lazy and knows the girl doesnt know what she's doing. Im not certain. But I'd place money on it

I agree. With 4 foxtrotters, all being totally different personalities, you have to get to know what works best for each. The oldest you can't ride with loose reins or she'll do a very loose, sloppy gait. Tuck her chin and just make contact and she'll fox trot all day for you. My gray mare, in my avatar, you can't let her make a miss step or she'll trot. I tell her she's cheating and she'll run walk and foxtrot what ever speed you like. Hubby's mare would rather run walk than fox trot. When he sits 'lazy' she'll pace. I haven't started gait work with the 4 year old yet. He'll have some very showy gaits when we do. He just 'floats' in the pasture.

Right?! Gosh there are always so many though... Best of luck to the horses and AC4H and potential buyers.

I dont know if they are or not.. I dont think they are.. I think the lady stated before that you can just send them an offer or call and make an offer because these are horses from brokers in route to slaughter.. I think you can call and make an offer on them. If my knowledge serves me correctly they're prices are based on poundage of the horse. It's so many dollars per pound that the broker/killer paid..

You can barter with the broker, Christy will present offers. Also they only have until 4:00pm today PA time zone. If you're really interested in a horse you can fax transfer of ownership form from AC4H with $25 fee with an offer.
