I heard that Paso Finos have very sensitive mouths and because of this most training and riding is done in hackamores and bosels. I think they all look like good horses.. and in proper hands any of them would make excellent horses. As they all seem to handle well. Despite the headslinging and stiff movement, probably from the rider confusing the horse.. they all seem like good horses and really shouldnt be where they are.. Hopefully somebody will take them.

She looks like she's really laying into that horse in the video. She's pulling back pretty hard, trying to get the horse to keep it's head up.. I would rear too :P

Yeah she needs to drop her hands. She is pulling in a way that is raising that horses head. Doesn't look to have any control at all and doesn't know how to get it. The horse looks pretty smoothly gaited.

I guess if it were me looking to buy one, I would take a knowledgable person with me and go look at them. If these horses came from someone reputable and they were shown, I'd go with the one that 'clicked' with. They're all nice looking but being shown, poorly.

I ran the name of the Cremello and it said the came from Morning Star Paso Fino Farm. Owned and bred by Tami Pinell.. not sure if you know who that is.. but yes, I would take somebody knowledgeable that has ridden and worked a paso. The girl in the videos clearly has not ridden a paso let alone a gaited.. Like said, she needs to drop her hands and relax the bit instead of using it as a weapon :P

Since I'm in CA I can't go and look at them in person. I'm leaning towards the dun at 15 she's been there done that. I just want a nice smooth ride down the trail. Poor babies with heavy hands and bad bits....

The dun mare looks very nice and very well put together. From what was said she's had show experience and alot of training so that's a plus. If you know somebody in the area where they're located I would have them go take a look at her for you. |
