Hi, I didn't realize there were any replies in here.
Texas is nice. Each region of Texas is like its own country because the climate and the landscape are so different-heck, TX is its own country, it takes 8 hours to travel from the eastern border to the western border. I am not involved in much horse wise, I was not raised with horses or in the country- I am fulfilling a childhood dream with my horse [Smile] Next plan is to move to the country. [Smile]
A fellow boarder is on this site and she seems pretty involved with the industry her website is http://www.ritaolsenperformancehorses.com
If that is not her corret address I will correct it, I can't think of her user name right this moment.
My horse is actually a maximally expressed Sabino Paint(took a lot of research to finally figure that out but its true [Smile] ) although only his sire was registered with the APHA and the American Pinto Horse Association. The dam was a sorrel used for Paint stock, the people that bred her thought for sure Zenith would come out brown and white(I bought the mare pregnant)and could then be registered with the American Pinto Horse Association but what a shock when he came out snow white, pink skinned and blue-eyed-now he is a "reject" [Frown] the Pinto Assoc won't take him because he has no color. Its okay though because I love him and he is pretty handsome when cleaned up, I just want to pleasure ride and maybe get to the point where we could participate in a playday-I am just a novice rider on a newly trained horse but I am getting lots of help and support @ T Slash Bar Ranch.

Great article on the web about Cremellos,Double Dilutes and LethalWhites Zenith is pictured on there @ http://doubledilute.com/lethalwhite.html

How interesting about your Paint! I had a maximum overo, palomino. He was registered, but we didn't do very well in the show ring because he was too white and they like minimal white. Here is his picture!

Yes, his eyes are blue. We moved from CA to NH and I had to sell 2 horses. So, I sold him to a lady who trail rides him, he was sooo good for that, and an Arab filly I sold to a 4-H family. We brought with us my black Arab mare, Velvet, her 6 month old black half Andalusian colt, and my husband's old chestnut Arab mare. My mare was in foal at the time with her second half Andi foal. She was born here in NH 6 months after we go here. So now we have 4. 3 black and one chestnut. You can see them on my home page (click on the little house). The babies are 4 and 3 now.
